Juche revolution feat
The Juche Revolutionary Theory serves to justify the transfer of power from Kim Il-sung to Kim Jong-il to Kim Jong-un. It can be regarded as North Korea's successor theory, built upon the foundation of the Suryong system and the Continuous Revolution Theory : Two Stage Theory. The Suryong system, which assumes an individual's exceptional abilities and personality, is the core tenet of North Korea's political ideology, the Juche idea, and sets the objective for power transfer based on the principle of "our-style socialism."
The ideology of succession is a significant component of the Continuous Revolution Theory, which frames power transfer as a continuation of the revolution rather than a mere transfer of authority. The Continuous Revolution Theory is grounded in the Suryong system, which posits that the revolutionary tasks of the working class are the responsibility of the Suryong (leader) and that they are fulfilled under the Suryong's guidance. Therefore, the Juche Revolutionary Theory comprises the Juche idea, Suryong system, Continuous Revolution Theory, and the Ideology of the Succession.
The central concept of the Suryong system is a revolutionary theory that revolves around the role of the Suryong. It centers around the idea that the people are the core of everything, and the Suryong is at the center of the people. This system forms the central proposition of the Juche idea. North Korea has elevated the concept of the leader beyond its literal meaning to function as a governing ideology. The revolutionary attitude towards the leader, which is the core of the Suryong system, demands loyalty and faithfulness to the leader as a revolutionary belief, the adoption of the Suryong’s revolutionary ideology and guidance, and a resolute attitude and position to persevere.
The Suryong system in North Korea was proposed to secure Kim Il-sung's power, and the logic of the theory developed during the process of establishing Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il's unique leadership system. The Suryong system played a crucial role in guaranteeing Kim Il-sung's charisma as an ideology. North Korean society is distinct from previous socialist states due to its foundation on the Suryong system of Kim Il-sung. In this political system, laws and systems have been transformed into tools for realizing the Suryong's ideology. The Juche Revolutionary Theory, the Ideology of The Succession, is the logic North Korea has proposed to establish a hereditary system from Kim Il-sung to Kim Jong-il to Kim Jong-un and to justify it.
